University of Washington Virtual Classroom Case Study

This past month Altadyn was happy to take part in a University of Washington course on virtual worlds with Professor Ran Hinrichs. The class, consisting of over 30 students from all over the world, participated in an exclusive first-look live demo of the brand new 3D-VirtualEvents.com conferencing platform in a virtual classroom setting. The course has been part of a successful certificate program in virtual worlds at UW for several years.

Altadyn CEO Darius Lahoutifard lectured inside a new conference room built in the upcoming new platform, 3D-VirtualEvents.com, giving the students an exclusive look at the unreleased product. His lecture included slides about the evolution of web3D and highlighted some of the exciting features of the new platform, including in-world streaming video, live twitter feed and more. The event proved to be quite successful, as everyone involved was able to have an enriching immersive experience.

After the lecture, the group got together at the lounge bar, for an interesting informal conversation about virtual worlds and it’s applications in a relaxed atmosphere.
